Community Garden
Located at the Community Sharing Program in Cottage Grove
The Community Sharing Educational Garden, a quarter-acre solidarity garden located behind the Cottage Grove food pantry at Community Sharing, provides fresh and nutritious food 365 days of the year, no questions asked, to anyone who needs it. Our mission is to fight food insecurity, nutrient deficiency, and alienation. In addition to U-Pick, we have delivered thousands of pounds of fresh produceand thousands of vegetable seedings to the food pantry at Community Sharing.
To get involved, please email Alexandra (alexandra@rurallivelihoods.org) or just show up during our volunteer shifts: Sundays from 4-6. You can also garden at your leisure – the gate is open during daylight hours. Follow us on instagram @communitygardencottagegroveor.
Many thanks to the Earth and Social Justice Committee of the First Presbyterian Church of Cottage Grove, Peace Health Community Medical Center, the Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District, the Cottage Grove Community Foundation, the OSU Master Gardeners Association for their financial support of this project.
